Filming dance is choreography twice: the movement in front of the camera and the movement of the camera itself. I plan shoots with the choreographer so the framing serves the phrasing, shooting everything from single-take dance films to multi-camera performance capture in the low, dramatic light dance actually happens in.
I make dance films and film choreography in Dublin for companies, independent choreographers and funded screen dance projects across Ireland. Whether it's a Screen Dance commission, an archive capture or a trailer for the next run, send me the work and let's talk about how it should move on screen.
